Frederick “Moses” Stirewalt, 88, of Concord, NC, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Brookridge Retirement Community in Winston-Salem, NC.

Moses was born March 2, 1937, to the late Charlie Jeremiah Alexander Stirewalt and the late Mary Louise Murph Stirewalt of Kannapolis, NC.

He was also preceded in death by his wife of 26 years, Frances "Marilene" Stirewalt and siblings Mable Stirewalt Williams and Charles Stirewalt.

Survivors include children, Frederick "Keith" Stirewalt (Margaret Norris) of Winston-Salem, NC and Lisa Stirewalt Youkers (Dave) of Powell, OH; grandchildren, Adele (Eric) Whipps, Kathryn (Jon) Brown, Sarah Whipps, Thomas (Mackenzie) Stirewalt and Christopher Stirewalt; and great-grandchildren Bryce Brown and Audrey Kate Brown; many beloved nieces and nephews.

Moses had a long career in information systems and continued to work as a consultant after his retirement. He also spent many hours volunteering at his church, Calvary Lutheran Church, working in the kitchen, and assisting with maintenance.

Mose was an avid gardener and enjoyed the outdoors, including several hikes on the Appalachian Trail.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church, 950 Bradley Street in Concord, NC, officiated by the Rev. František Janák. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.

Memorials may be made to the Capital Reserve Fund for Calvary Lutheran Church.
