Franklin David Turnmire

Franklin David Turnmire, 77, of Kannapolis, NC passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 24, 2025. Originally from Warrensville, NC, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Franklin Turnmire (Della) and was predeceased by his wife, Carol V. Turnmire.

He is survive by daughter, Carolyn T. Harris of WV; F. David Turnmire of NC; and stepdaughter, Sheree Y. Cannon of NC. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Turnmire was the youngest of six siblings. He is predeceased by brother, Riley A. Turnmire, and sisters, Frances R. Turnmire and Sophia T. Kelley. He is survived by brothers, Melvin J. Turnmire and Walter A. Turnmire.

Rev. Walter Turnmire will officiate a memorial service for his brother in the chapel at Whitley’s Funeral Home, 1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd., Kannapolis, NC 28083 on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 4:00 PM.
