Frances Lauraneal Bostian

Frances Lauraneal McGuire Bostian, 85, of Kannapolis, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 23, 2025.

Frances was born on July 21, 1939 in Rowan County. She was a cherished daughter of the late Claude A. McGuire and Ruby Elder McGuire. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Harold Ashby; and her sister, LaVaugh Gainey and brother, Steve McGuire.

Frances had a passion for travel and found joy in discovering new places, especially anywhere near the ocean. The beach was one of her favorite places to visit. Frances was creative at heart and enjoyed painting and crafting. She always found joy in making something with her hands.

Most of all Frances loved her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Clyde Bostian; sons, Ricky A. Donaldson and Rocky L. Donaldson; daughter, Charlotte D. Berg; sister, Sharon Bradshaw; brothers, Tommy McGuire and Gary McGuire; Frances was also blessed with 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm Friday, June 27, 2025 at North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church with Rev. Joy Garman officiating.
