Florence "Flossie" Elizabeth (Eckard) Brown

Florence “Flossie” Elizabeth Eckard Brown, 86 years old, of Kannapolis, passed away in her home surrounded by her family on March 4, 2024.  Flossie was born on January 23, 1938, in Catawba County to the late Lloyd and Rose Pope Eckard.

Flossie worked for many years at Burlington and Parkdale Mills until her retirement. Flossie never met a stranger, as she loved talking to people and had a great sense of humor.  She loved her family, going to the mountains, Subaru cars, and diet Sundrop.

Flossie was predeceased by her husband, John Ed Brown in 2000, her brother Bill Eckard and her sisters, Alma Yount and Martha Stafford.  Those left to cherish her memory are her brothers, John M. Eckard and his wife Josie and Fred D. Eckard, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.

A memorial service for Flossie will be held at a later date.
