Eugene Moose

Obituary: Eugene Oscar Moose of China Grove died February 2, 2014 at his residence. He was born October 5, 1929 in Iredell County, son of the late Oscar Julius Moose and Florence Adams Moose. Eugene was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a carpenter for Fieldcrest Cannon Mill. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Irene Brown Moose of the home, son, Eric Eugene Moose of Chester, Va. and daughter Kelli Lee and husband Michael of Alpharetta, Ga. Four grandchildren; Anna Moose, Alexander Lee, Cami Lee, and Olivia Lee. He is also survived by five sisters, Nellie Julian, Wilma Smith, Genoa Miller, Olene Morton and Grace Seaman, and one brother, William David Moose. A sister, Ethel Safrit preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church conducted by Revs. Max Smith and Darrell Coble. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday 1:30-3:00 P.M. prior to the service. At other times they will be at the residence.
