Earl David Talbert

Earl David Talbert, age 77, of Concord, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, at Tucker Hospice House, after a period of declining health.

Born on February 2, 1948, in Cabarrus County, Earl was the beloved son of the late Henry Paul Talbert and Margie Gay Love Talbert. He made significant contributions to his community through his work as an auto upholstery business owner and crane operator. Earl had a passion for life; he cherished his trips to the beach, enjoyed racing, and took delight in spending summers outdoors, mowing the grass and connecting with nature. He was also a devoted beekeeper for many years.

Above all else, Earl treasured his role as a grandfather. He leaves behind a legacy of love and fond memories that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ricky Talbert. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Donna Goins Talbert; two daughters, Ashley Meendering (Jeff) and Rhiannon Talbert; and three cherished grandchildren, Jordan Hood, Jeff Meendering Jr., and Nathan Meendering.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate Earl’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Carolina Memorial Park. Prior to the service, friends are invited to visit from 12:30 to 1:30 PM at Whitley’s Funeral Home.
