Doris Odessa Kee, 91, of Kannapolis, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Taylor Glen Assisted Living Community.

Doris was born June 22, 1935, in Cabarrus County, North Carolina to the late John David Kee and the late Martha Mae Mabry Kee.

She was also preceded in death by husband, Charles Albert “Shake” Fisher and brother, Jack Kee.

The graveside service will be held on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis officiated by Chaplain Sammy Pierce. Burial will immediately follow at Carolina Memorial Park Cemetery, 601 Mt. Olivet Road, Concord.

Survivors include siblings; Ruth Kee Wherry, Helen Kee McClellan, John Kee, Roy Kee, Jewel Kee, Gary Kee, and Kathleen Kee; and many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.

Doris was loved by all her family and numerous friends in Kannapolis and at Taylor Glen.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Levine Cancer Institute for their compassionate care.
