Donna Lowder Ritchie

Donna Lowder Ritchie, 70, of Landis, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2026 at her home.

She was born July 29, 1956 in Cabarrus Co. to the late Myrtle Williams Lowder and Alvin Lowder.

Donna graduated from A.L. Brown High School. She worked at Waffle House and Cannon Mills, before she became unable to work due to Muscular Dystrophy. Donna dedicated her life to serving God and telling everyone about Jesus, Donna loved God above all and her greatest desire was for others to know Jesus and be blessed.

A selfless, sweet, kind, loving, humble, and a gentle soul. She loved her family, friends, and prayed diligently for all even those she did not know. Through many difficulties she faced the mountains with a faith that never wavered. She remained a testimony to God’s goodness until her final breath.

Known to many as “Mama Donna” she had a special place in her heart for children, young people, and anyone in need. She enjoyed watching the birds, sending cards of encouragement, talking on the phone, her music, Bible studies, and preaching services.

Those left to cherish her memory, daughter Angela Isenhour and her husband Dennis, God given Grandsons, Cameron and Kaleb Isenhour, and a sister Sherrie Lowder, also many family and friends who became family to us all.

Graveside service will be held, Wednesday, September 23, at 2:00 PM at Carolina Memorial Park with Pastor Mark White officiating.

A special thanks to Devine Health and Wellness Home Care of Salisbury and Donna Swanson, Chanwana and Amonyee for their outstanding care and compassion making it possible for Donna to remain in her home until the end. No words can express the appreciation of our family. You all will remain a cherished part of our family.
