Donald Middlemiss

Donald Middlemiss, aged 80, of Kannapolis, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home on November 27, 2025.

Born on February 3, 1945, in Warwick, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Donald and Florence Frazier Middlemiss. Donald had a fulfilling career, retiring after 16 years at Phillip Morris. His dedication to his work was mirrored by his commitment to his community, where he served as an elder at Flow Harris Presbyterian Church.

Donald was a man of many interests. He loved engaging in home improvement projects, working with his hands, and spending time outdoors. As a lover of music, Donald enjoyed singing while on road trips and adventures with his family. Known for his great sense of humor, he endeared himself to those around him with his kindness and generosity. In his younger years, he embraced adventures such as traveling and roller skating.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Anne Middlemiss, his daughter Melissa Ann Riley and her husband Haston, his grandson Justin Lee Riley, his sister Dianne Middlemiss (John Foster), and his brother David Middlemiss. He was preceded in death by his two sons, Donald Raymond Middlemiss and Keith Phillip Schiebl, and his brother Dean Middlemiss.

A memorial service to honor Donald’s life will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Flow Harris Presbyterian Church, led by Rev. Christine Conrath. Following the service, the family invites friends to join them in the church fellowship hall for visitation.
