David Lynn Plyler, 51, of Kannapolis passed away on December 2, 2020. He was born April 30, 1969 in Cabarrus County, a son of the late Jay Calvin Plyler and Charlotte Faye Gauldin Plyler. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Honeycutt Plyler in 2002 and a brother, Calvin Plyler.
David was a heavy equipment operator for many years. He loved riding motorcycles and going fishing.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Rodney Efird. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. His family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 PM Saturday prior at Whitley’s.
David is survived by his sisters, Lisa Efird of Kannapolis, Sarah Plyler of Salisbury, step daughter, Jerrica Honeycutt-Bullock of Virginia, stepson, Zack Honeycutt of Georgia and numerous nieces and nephews.
