Dale Thomas Stancil, Sr.

Obituary: Dale Thomas Stancil, Sr., 57, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House, following a period of declining health. Born August 1, 1959 in Cabarrus County, he was a son of Ollie Virginia Long Stancil. Dale was preceded in death by a brother, Tim Stancil and a granddaughter, Serynity Hedrick. Dale had worked in maintenance for the Town of China Grove for the past 7 years. He loved being and doing anything outdoors, and enjoyed NASCAR. Although in a better place today, Dale will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Family members include his son, Dale T. Stancil, Jr. and wife, Amanda; his daughters, Misty Stancil and Tracee Hedrick and husband, Steven; his brother, Larry Stancil; sisters, Bobbie Smith, and Phyllis and Doris Huffman; his grandchildren, Breanna, Josh and Jonathan Upright, Ricky and Timothy Stancil and Maliyah Hedrick; a great grandson, Malachi, and many friends and co-workers. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 1st from 12:30-2:00pm at Whitley's Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
