Dale Furr Dugan, 76, of Kannapolis, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, April 5, 2026.
Dale was born on November 26, 1949 in Cabarrus County. She was a cherished daughter of the late Dewey Wilson Furr and Oma Lee Mullis Furr. In addition to her parents and being a widow, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Furr; sisters, Cathy Allison, and Judy Smith; and her loving companion, Mike Davis.
Dale Spent her career working in the heavy equipment industry for over 44 years.
She was the center of her family, always bringing everyone together, especially during the holidays. Thanksgiving at Dale’s home was a tradition she held dear, where her greatest joy was simply having her loved ones gathered together.
Dale treasured time spent with her great-granddaughter Addie, especially baking her well-loved chocolate drop cookies.
She enjoyed relaxing at the beach, dancing, gardening, watching birds, and caring for her beloved dogs, Johnny and June. Dale’s love for dancing earned her a place in the NC Charlotte Shaggers Hall of Fame.
She will be remembered as the heart of her family, a woman who brought people together and made everyone feel at home. Dale will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Andrea “Missy” Warren and Shawn Warren; granddaughter, Chelsea; great-grandchildren, Addie Cooper, Sophia, Wyatt, and Gannon; Dale was also blessed with many loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 6:00pm on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Whitley’s Funeral Home in Kannapolis. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow the visitation at 6:00pm with Rev. Von Ramsey officiating.
