Crystal Dawn McKinney Moore

Crystal Dawn McKinney Moore, 59, of Landis, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 22, 2025 from the Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis after a long battle with Cancer.

A funeral service will be held at Landis Baptist Church on Sunday, June 29 at 3:30 PM with Pastor Mike Austin officiating. Her family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 to 3:30 PM prior to the funeral. Her burial will take place the next day, Monday, June 30, at 10:00 AM at Carolina Memorial Park.

Crystal was born on February 4, 1966, in Cabarrus Co., as the only child of the late Max Carson and Sybil Edwards McKinney.

Crystal was a devoted mother and daughter, faithful wife, and loving grandmother whose world was centered around her family. She poured her heart into creating cherished memories with her loved ones and was always there for her family no matter what.

She was a longtime member of Landis Baptist Church where she actively served in youth ministry and VBS and was a part of the Addie Poarch Circle. Most of her professional career was spent working at Cabarrus Pediatrics and she later worked in patient accounting for Atrium Health Cabarrus.

Her legacy of love, devotion, and spiritual strength will forever live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.

Those who remain to cherish her memories include her husband of 41 years and the love of her life, James (Jimmy) Dawson Moore; her son, Seth Carson Moore (Valerie) of Kannapolis; her daughter, McKinney Kate Moore Bullard (Tyler) of China Grove; and her three grandsons: Brice and Braxton Bullard and Max Moore.
