Cruser Mcneil Petrea Jr.

Obituary: Kannapolis, NC Cruser "Macky" McNeil Petrea, Jr., 70, of Kannapolis passed away on July 20, 2017 at his home. He was born September 11, 1946 in Cabarrus County, a son of the late Cruser McNeil Petrea, Sr. and Forrest Hoppers Petrea. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Kornowski, Anita Riggsbee and Mary McKnight. Macky loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Macky was a graduate of A. L. Brown High School. He attended Wingate University and received his Business degree from Limestone College. He started as a business owner at Bethpage Grocery. Macky spent many years as a sales and service manager at Textilease Uniform Company. He then owned and operated Custom Images before working as a Sales Manager for International Minute Press. He was a lifelong member of Bethpage Presbyterian Church where he was involved in many church activities throughout his lifetime including being a Sunday School Teacher and Session member. He was also a member of BNI Group (Business Network International). Funeral services will be held at 4:15 PM Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Bethpage Presbyterian Church officiated by Rev. Ellen Campbell Gardner. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 4:00pm prior in the church fellowship hall. He is survived by his wife, Judy DeMarcus Petrea, daughter, Page Petrea McWhirter (Alan) of Oak Island, son, Chad Petrea (Ronda) of Concord, 4 grandchildren, Chelsea Buchanan, Lacey Bryant (Cole), Chad Petrea, Jr., Shae Petrea, brother, Wayne Petrea and sister, Patty Lee.
