Colleen Brindle Davis, 71, of Kannapolis, went to be with her heavenly father on Tuesday, December 24, 2024.
Colleen was born on September 25, 1953 in Cabarrus County. She was a cherished daughter of the late Carl Anderson Brindle and Annie Louise Lambert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Wayne Davis; son, Jody Davis; brothers, Donald Gene Brindle, Dennis Jenkins, and Carl Brindle; and sister, Frances Richards.
Colleen spent her life surrounded by the things she loved most: her family, her dogs, and the simple joys of life. Her passion for animals, especially her dogs, was evident in everything she did. She found immense comfort and companionship in their presence, and they brought her so much joy.
Colleen was also known for her whimsical love of teddy bears and snowmen, which she collected over the years. An avid online shopper, Colleen had a keen eye for finding little treasures that brought her happiness. Colleen also enjoyed watching the online services of Risen Life Church. She will be remembered for her kindness and deep love for her family. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Richard Davis (Dixie) and Steven Davis (Amy); grandchildren, Carrie Leonhardi (Chase), Christina Davis (Tristen), Cameron Davis, Anderson Davis, and Brayleigh Davis, Ally McIntyre, Casey Edwards, Wendy Edwards; great grandchildren, Dallas Leonhardi, Cara Henderson; sisters, Carol Barnette (Lee) and Joyce Smith (Riley); honorary brother and sister, Alan and Susan Lambert; and her dear friend/sister Maria Lemus Rodriguez, and her loving fur baby, Honey Bear.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Monday, December 30, 2024 at Whitley’s Funeral Home in Kannapolis. The funeral service will be held the following day at 2:00pm Tuesday, December 31, 2024 in Whitley’s Chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Sunset Cemetery in Kannapolis.
