Chrystal Glen Germond, aged 66, of Mooresville, peacefully passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at her daughter's home in China Grove.
Born on December 19, 1959, in Endicott, New York, Chrystal was the daughter of Lucille Mae Short Simpson and the late Robert Glen, with the late Richard Simpson Sr. as her stepfather.
Chrystal was a devoted animal lover who cherished creatures great and small, from alligators to horses. She delighted in family cookouts and gatherings, enjoyed taking her children swimming during their youth, and found pleasure in watching Lifetime and the Hallmark Channel. Above all, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who treasured her family deeply. She would always tell her children and grandchildren I love you to the moon and back!
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Garrett Fuller, and her sister, Rose Dagle.
Chrystal is lovingly remembered by her significant other of 38 years, Bob Roach; her mother, Lucille Simpson of Troutman; her children Jennifer (Paul) Levy of China Grove, John (Ashley) Germond of Mooresville, Carrie (Bryan) Bishop of Denton, Barney (Samantha) Fuller of Mooresville, Sarah (Scott) Smith of China Grove, and Brandon Fuller of Kannapolis; and her cherished grandchildren Connie, Makayla, Carmen, Rosalee, Katlynn, Mykenzie, Bryan, Alexus, Elena, Charleigh, Violet, Aiden, Alexzandria, Richard, Brayden, Brooklynn, Journee,Jaxen, Greyson, Parker, Peyton, Forrest, Autumn, Anna, brother, Bobby (Holly) Glenn Troutman NC, sisters, Cheryl (Mike) Saccucci Binghamton, NY, and Yvonne (Ed) Nowakowski Binghamton, NY, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Thomas DeBoyace officiating. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Whitley’s Funeral Home.
