Cheryl (Ballard) Covington

Cheryl Ballard Covington, 64 of Concord passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2022 at Atrium Health Cabarrus, Concord following a period of declining health.

Cheryl was born May 28, 1958 in North Hampton County, VA. a daughter of the late Edward Jackson ad Peggy Ann Ingram Ballard.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Tina Bost and Michelle Holder.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, William Covington of the home, a daughter, Danielle Byrd and husband Daniel of Fayetteville.

One granddaughter, Madison Byrd of Richlands, NC.

Cheryl was a 1976 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and later Rowan Cabarrus Community College.

In early life she was an office manager for a real estate appraiser and later was a homemaker. She enjoyed watching cooking shows.
