Charles Lewis Hinson Jr., “Charlie”, 70, of Concord, NC, peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Friday April 24, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 16, 1955 in Charlotte, NC, son of the late Charles “Eute” and Jean Hinson.

Charlie enjoyed camping, spending time at the beach and watching wrestling with the love of his life Joyce.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joyce Hinson; their miniature dachshund Roscoe; daughters Tammy McCorkle (John) of Stanley, NC, Cinthia Ferrell (Mike) of Kannapolis, NC and Christy Hill (Howard) of Charlotte, NC; sisters Patty Dulin (Mike) of Mount Holly, NC, Dianne Evans (Rick) of Hernando, MS and Vic Hinson (Barbara) of Charlotte, NC; 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held by the family.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all the hospice nurses, physicians and staff at the Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC. The care and compassion that you provided Charlie, as well as his family will never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Atrium Health Hospice & Palliative Care Cabarrus.
