Charles (Chuck) Holloway, 87, left our world on Friday, June 5, 2026. Born in Vienna, Louisiana, Chuck had been a resident of Florida for the last 25 years. He volunteered for the Navy in 1957 and served honorably, including in Vietnam, before retiring after 20 years. In his retirement he was quick to support troops serving, as well as those who served. He had a second 20-year career working for UPS, beginning as a delivery driver and working his way up to driving long haul feeder routes. Upon his second retirement, Chuck and his wife, Robbie, became RVers and traveled around the United States with their cat, Booboo, until returning to Florida permanently, where he cared for the numerous cats, he adopted and loved. In his family days he coached his four daughters in softball, introduced them to golf and bowling (never letting them win!), and loved spending a day fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Willis Holloway and Liddie Drusella Holloway, as well as his seven siblings. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 43 years, Robbie Moss Holloway, his daughters, Pam Staneski (Paul), Sheila Lamkin (Steve), Regina Holloway, and Angela Stegina (Shannon). While he will be dearly missed, his legacy is passed on through his 10 grandchildren and 10 (plus one on the way) great-grandchildren, along with a large extended family.
Services to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, June 13, at 11:00 AM, at Canaan Baptist Church, 785 Barringer Street, Salisbury, NC. Burial with military honors will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove, NC.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Livin’ Like Larry Farm Sanctuary, PO Box 592, Branford, FL 32008.
