Carolyn B. (Bruton) Penninger

Carolyn B. Penninger, 82 years old, passed away on April 8, 2022.  Carolyn was born on January 11, 1939, in Asheboro, N.C. to Charlotte and Rev. Paul Bruton. Carolyn spent most her adult life in Kannapolis, NC. She worked many years in the office for Cannon Mills before leaving to go to Piedmont Surgical Clinic until retirement. She was a member of Mt Olivet United Methodist Church. She loved her family, life and her animals.

On Friday April 8, 2022 Carolyn went to her heavenly home. She is survived by her husband Mickey, her sister Hilda Litaker. Also by her children, Mike Penninger & Anna, Beth Parham & Henry, Charles Penninger & Sharon and Emily Cook & Jason. She has 8 grandchildren, Michala & Maggie Penninger, Lauren Brown & Brandon Smith, Preston and Peyton Penninger and Chandler & Kayleigh Cook.  There are also 4 great-grandchildren, Sam Brown, Olivia & Georgia Smith and Gracie Penninger.

The family will be holding a private Celebration of Life Ceremony on Saturday April 16, 2022 at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church.

The family request that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
