Buford Radford Arrowood

Buford Radford Arrowood, 94, of Kannapolis, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Tucker Hospice House.

He was born May 18, 1931 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Albert Arrowood and Ara Doster Arrowood.

Buford was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he worked in the mill for 5-6 years and then went to work as a superintendent for David Drye Company until his retirement, but he still did work after like cabinet work and woodworking. He always enjoyed playing the guitar, and loved to go fishing, he was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wives Joyce Arrowood, Elizabeth Arrowood, and Bobbie Jones Arrowood and also a brother Willie Arrowood.

Those left to cherish his memory; two sons, Tony Arrowood (Maxine), Randy Arrowood (Emily), three grandchildren, Tammy, Scott, and Kayla Arrowood, two Great grandchildren, and two Great-Great Grandchildren.

A funeral service will be 1:00PM Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Eddie Graham officiating, burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park with Military Rites.

A visitation will be prior to the service from 11:30AM to 1:00PM at the funeral home.
