Brenda Sue Ross

Brenda Sue Carter Ross, 84, of Kannapolis, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital.

Brenda was born December 2, 1940, in Rowan County, North Carolina to the late John Carter and the late Mary Ruth Adams Carter.

She was also preceded in death by her mother and father, John and Mary Carter; sister, Sylvia Love; brother, Larry Carter; daughter, Tamara Archie; and granddaughter, Gabrielle Simmons.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. - 12:45 P.M on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Whitley's Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis officiated by Pastor Leonard Ewing. Burial will immediately follow at West Lawn Memorial Park, 1350 S. Main St., China Grove.

Survivors include husband of 58 years, Bobby Ralph Ross of the home; children, Cynthia Simmons (Eric) of Kannapolis; son-in-law, Timothy Archie; grandchildren, Brandon, Marissa, Alex, and Nick; and great grandson, Jaiden.

Brenda's greatest joy was her family. She cherished her husband deeply, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. Whether caring for her children, cheering on her grandchildren, or smiling proudly at her great-grandchild, she was always there with open arms and a giving heart. Her strength was gentle but steady, the kind you could lean on. The warmth of her presence, her kindness, and the love she shared so freely will be carried in our hearts forever.
