Brady Leon Yost

Brady Leon Yost, 87, of Salisbury, returned to the Lord on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. He was born in Cabarrus County on June 7, 1938, to the late Carl and Onie Troutman Yost.

Brady married the love of his life, Mildred Menius, on August 18, 1956. They were to celebrate 70 years this August. Brady thought the world of Mildred and he said she was his soulmate. He loved her deeply.

Brady worked at Cannon Mills until his retirement. He was a volunteer firefighter for China Grove Fire Department and chief for Bostian Heights Fire Department. He served his community as a fireman for 20 plus years. Brady loved to help anyone he could. He had a strong work ethic and that showed in his reliability in his careers and communities he served. Brady always put the needs of others in front of his own.

Brady enjoyed fishing and gardening. He loved planting his gardens every year and sharing his crops with others. Most of all, Brady loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Brady always kept his Faith close; he knew where he would be going in his Eternal Life. He will see us again.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Mildred Yost; three children, Debbie Y Bost (Coy), Beverly Yost Sauder (Wayne) and Randy Yost (Natalie); seven grandchildren, Amanda Danielson (Vance), Tiffany Reger (Zech), Chasity Sauder, Joy Anderson (Travis), Daniel Sauder (Amy), Kolby Yost and Carson Wood; eight great grandchildren, Rayce, Zoey, Emery, Caleb, Luke, Nathan, Levi and Matthew; one sister, Dorothy Goodman; one brother, Harold Yost; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
