Boyce Ray Weaver, 88, of Kannapolis, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

Boyce was born on November 19, 1936, in Cabarrus County. He was a cherished son of the late Charles Weaver and Maudie Ellen Ross Weaver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Carol Weaver and his siblings, Dorris Wyatt, Dorthy Carmona, Virginia Reynolds, Facen Weaver, Homer Weaver, Archie Weaver, Roy Weaver, Marcilla Morris, Pearl Sheets, Rose Quincy, and Sis Page.

Boyce was a man of few words but deep wisdom. He didn’t speak often, but when he did, everyone listened. His quiet strength and kind heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He loved the simple joys in life, spending a calm morning fishing, baking his famous giant peanut butter cookies, or watching his favorite old cowboy movies.

Boyce was also a devoted sports fan, especially when it came to cheering on his beloved Atlanta Braves.

He was a proud and faithful member of Enochville Church of God for many years. Boyce loved the ocean and some of the happiest moments were spent at the Outer Banks. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Crystal Tweed, Terry Plott, and Steve Weaver; grandchildren, Lori Hardee (Chris), Laurie Bollinger (Cory), Chris Watts (Tenille), Matthew Weaver, and Jordan Innis (Matt); great-grandchildren, Hannah, Christian, Christlyn, Makenzie, Makayla, Vada, Lana, Pacey; Great- great-grandchildren, Hailey, Dallas, Jack, Ashley, Stella, Serena, Parker and baby Page.

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm – 3:00pm on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Enochville Church of God in Kannapolis. The funeral service will begin immediately after the visitation starting at 3:00pm with Rev. Carl Fosdick officiating. Burial will be at 12:00pm on Monday, November 3, 2025 at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
