Bonnie Wayne Morgan Huffstickler, age 82, of Kannapolis, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024 at her daughter’s home after a period of declining health.
A service to celebrate Bonnie’s life will be held at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel at 2:30 PM Thursday, February 8 with Rev. Keith Navey officiating. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 7.
Born August 16, 1941, in Cabarrus Co., Bonnie was born one of eight children to the late Earl M. and Alice Murphy Morgan. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Huffstickler her children, Lois Thomas and Lewis Witherspoon and her siblings, Doug Morgan, Steve Morgan and Sue Blake.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Williams of Kannapolis, Teresa Glover of Arizona, and Tony Cohrs of Mocksville her grandchildren Kristy Galusha, Jessica Furr, Jennifer Freeman, Ashley Burris, Jonathan Raymer, Andrew Raymer, Paul Denson, and Terry Williams her many great-grandchildren, and her 4 surviving siblings, Arnold Morgan, Lynn Morgan, Jan Allman, and Dale Carpenter .
Bonnie was a life-long area resident of Cabarrus County and longtime member of Eva Drive Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife and homemaker to her family. She liked baking, crocheting, putting puzzles together, reading and enjoyed spending time with her loved ones and taking care of all who were in need. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
