Bobby Gene Watson

Obituary: Bobby Gene Watson, 74 of Salisbury, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at his residence with his family by his side. Mr. Watson was born on January 25, 1939 in Rockingham County, NC, the son of the late Joseph Melvin and Mary Rutledge Watson. Mr. Watson retired from Fieldcrest Cannon and was briefly employed at First Assembly Living Center. He was a member of Crown Pointe Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife Virginia Fink Watson of the home, sons; Jeffery Wayne Watson of Salisbury, and Joseph Kaleb Watson of the home, a daughter; Debbie Jean Watson of Kannapolis, grandchildren; Carie Beaver (Greg) of Salisbury, Kassie Watson of Lexington, and Kristianna Watson of Landis, great grandchildren; Brittany Lewis of Salisbury, and Breleigh Beaver of Salisbury, a sister; Joann Savage (Rex) of Charlotte, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Watson will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday May 5, 2013 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel with Rev. Gene Beaver officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Whitley's Funeral Home.
