Bobby Lee Kerr, 93 of Mooresville, NC passed away peacefully at home on July 26th, 2026.

He was born on December 20th, 1932 in Rowan county, NC to the late Walter A. (Rube) Kerr and Arlene (Sudie) Heglar Kerr. Mr. Kerr was a lifetime member of Concordia Lutheran Church in China Grove, NC. where he served in the church in multiple roles including usher and member of church council.

Mr. Kerr worked for Terry Products in Kannapolis for over 30 years where he was a machine fixer. Mr. Kerr was a US Army veteran serving at Fort Bragg as a Supply Sargent. He also enjoyed woodwork and was a bonded locksmith. He was very talented and could fix anything. He also loved to work in his garden each season and enjoyed camping at the beach and mountains with his family. Mr. Kerr and his wife, Coleen, shared a passion for NASCAR and enjoyed many races together over the years.

He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Coleen Deal Kerr, daughter; Ginger Overcash, (Randy), daughter; Sherry Stamper (Mack); grandchildren Destry Overcash, Brandon Stamper, Jared Stamper; and two great grandchildren, Cassidy Barnhart, (Caleb), and Hannah Stamper; his sister, Peggy Parks. He was also proceeded in death by his granddaughter, Shelly Stamper and two grandsons, Aiden and Gage Stamper.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at Concordia Lutheran Church in China Grove. The funeral service will begin after the visitation at 2:00pm with Rev. Carlin Ours officiating.Interment will take place immediately afterward in the church cemetery.
