Billy Martin Black

Obituary: Concord, NC- Billy Martin Black, age 78, died Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at his home after a period of declining health. He was born January 27, 1931 in Mecklenburg County, NC, the son of the late Graham Robinson Black and Phoebe Whitley Black. He was a truck driver having worked for various companies for over 45 years until his retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed fishing as a special hobby. There will be no funeral service. Burial will be in Ft. Smith, AK at a later date. Survivors include two sons, Billy Thomas Black of Concord, NC and Jerry Robinson Black of Rudy, AK; two daughters, Marie Carson Black and Shirley Lynn Wilson, both of Rudy, AK; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
