A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She lived a sacrificial life of humility filled with faith, joy, and unwavering love for her family. She attended Parker High School in Greenville, SC finishing in 1943. Born with a natural gift for song, she shared her voice with many as a member of the Texas Sweethearts. Music was one of the many ways she poured beauty into the world around her. Her greatest pride, however, was her unfailing devotion to family. She lovingly raised six children, each of whom carries her strength, humor, and determination into their own family’s lives. She was a constant, the steady hand and heart of her home. Known for complimentary kindness, hospitality and warmth ever shown, especially, excitedly just hearing the knock on her door announcing relatives or guests had arrived! They always found her welcoming bright smile aglow, with full attention and unwavering ability to make every person feel at home and cherished.
A woman of God, gifted grace, and kindness, she taught others, through example, how to live with faith, courage, and gratitude. Her legacy is woven into the fabric of countless lives she touched and the generations who shall follow in her footsteps.
Viewing will be held at 1:00pm followed by the funeral service at 2:00pm on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Victory Temple location, 3101 Cline School Road Concord, 28025.
