Betty was born February 23, 1926, in Cabarrus Co., a daughter of the late James B. and Mae DeMarcus Puntch. She was a life-long area resident and life-long member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she was a devoted member of the church choir for many years. Betty helped her husband, Carl, as a secretary for the family business, Moss and Moore Heating and Air in Kannapolis.
Betty was the last of six siblings remaining. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Carl D. Moore, and her son “Desi” Moore. Those who remain to cherish her memory include her daughters, Penny Black (David) of Hickory and Patti Stodghill (Mark) of Kannapolis, her grandchildren, Davy Black (Amber), Carly Pruitt (Zach), Mark M. Stodghill and Jack W. Stodghill, as well as 5 great-grandchildren, Weston, Camden and Isla Black and Kate and Max Pruitt.
Betty lived a long and meaningful life, surrounded by love and family. She was a warm, kind, and gracious individual who treasured every moment with her husband, her children, her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, and her 5 “Puntch” siblings. Her sweet nature and friendly, gentle spirit touched the lives of many, and she will be remembered with great affection and admiration.
