Betty “Jean” Council Morrison

Betty “Jean” Council Morrison, 89, of Terrell, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 7, 2025.

Jean was born on May 1, 1936, in Wake County, North Carolina. She was a cherished daughter of the late James Dwight Council and Betty Keith Council. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wade Morrison Sr.

Jean was a hard worker who took pride in everything she did. She enjoyed playing bingo, traveling, and spending time with her family. She also loved listening to gospel music, which brought her comfort and joy.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Andrea Mullis (Howard), Wade “Bo” Morrison Jr. (Lori), and Brad Morrison (Susan); grandchildren, Cari Szumowski (Mike), Jeremy Mullis (Katie), Justin Morrison (LaShawnna), Jacob Morrison (Ashley); great- grandchildren, Cole Szumowski, Brinley Szumowski, Wes Mullis, and Jace Morrison.

A visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Whitley’s Funeral Home in Kannapolis.
