Barbara Joyce Honeycutt

Barbara Joyce Honeycutt, 82, of Kannapolis, North Carolina passed away in her home on Wednesday, May 7th, 2025.

Joyce, as she was most commonly known, was born in Madison County, Georgia on February 25, 1943. Her family relocated to Kannapolis when she was a young child for prospective job opportunities at Cannon Mills. Though faced with a troubling diagnosis of Polio, she flourished through music, as God blessed her with a special talent for playing music by ear. She was the organ player for both Central Baptist and Charity Baptist Churches for many years. Later in life she became the piano player for Skyland Baptist Church, her home church before her passing.

Outside of music, Joyce was known for her warm smile, contagious charm, and witty nature. It was rare to have conversations with her that didn't include laughter. She loved her family and had a special place in her heart for animals.

She is survived by her two sons, Kenneth Dover and wife B.J. and Timothy Honeycutt and wife Lisa; her granddaughter, Samantha Brown and husband Vince, and three great-grandchildren, Alyssa Brown, Natalie Brown, and Noah Brown.

Per Joyce's request, there will be a small, private family celebration of life held in her home.
