Barbara S. Bullock

Barbara S. Bullock, 86, of Partlow, Virginia (formerly of Kannapolis, NC) passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at home. She was born in Salisbury, NC on December 22, 1938, to Howard C. Sherrill and Aileen W. Sherrill.

Barbara retired from the former Cannon Mills Company where she worked in Plant# 1 in the sheet folding department. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Kannapolis, NC and of the Midland Chapter 260, Order of the Eastern Star. Her passion was playing the piano and she was an avid bowler in which she was on a traveling league in earlier years. She dearly loved to laugh and joke with people and watch the birds.

Barbara is survived by her three children, Timothy Sloop (Karen), David Sloop (Tasha) and Douglas Sloop; 13 grandchildren-James Harris (Karen), Cindy S. Miles, Timothy Sloop, Jr. (Sara), Amanda Blankenbaker, Eric Blankenbaker (Rita) , Justin Sloop (Danielle), Melanie McLaughlin (James), Jeremy Sloop (Katie), Michael Sloop (Brooke), John Thomas Sloop (Emily), Stephen Sloop (Amanda), Courtney Trexler and Jayden Goff and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Aileen Sherrill, husband, William J. Bullock, III and daughter, Sandra Hill whose ashes will be interred with her at Carolina Memorial Park.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Carolina Memorial Park, 601 Mt. Olive Rd., Concord, NC 28025 officiated by Pastor Kevin Sloop.
