Barbara Lynn Brigman

Barbara Lynn Brigman, born McCorkle on July 7, 1943, in Cabarrus County, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025. An emblem of grace and kindness, Barbara was cherished for her easygoing and thoughtful nature.

Throughout her life, Barbara found joy in many pursuits. She had a deep affection for decorating for Christmas, creating festive, warm environments that brought joy to all who visited. Her love for vacationing often led her to Ocean Drive, South Carolina, where cherished memories were made. An avid shag dancer, she relished the rhythm of the music and the company of friends on the dance floor. Additionally, Barbara had a fondness for riding sportscars, adding excitement and adventure to her life.

Barbara was proud of her sturdy 59-year marriage to her husband, Clinton Brigman. Together, they nurtured a life filled with mutual respect and deep affection, serving as an inspiration to all who knew them.

She is survived by her loving husband, Clinton Brigman, and her brother, Todd Brigman. She was preceded in death by her parents, H.W. and MaryEllen McCorkle, and her brother, Danny McCorkle.

Barbara Lynn Brigman’s legacy is a testament to a life well-lived, defined by love, kindness, and the joy of shared experiences. She will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
