Arnold E. Gentle

Arnold E. Gentle, 93, of Kannapolis, passed away, Wednesday, October, 14, 2026 at the NC State Veterans Home in Salisbury.

He was born July 13, 1933 in Rowan Co. to the late Adam Theodore Gentle and Liddy Blanche Cannon Gentle.

Arnold was a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956, he worked in HVAC for over 50 years, and taught a few classes on HVAC, he enjoyed planting a garden every year and tending to it, he enjoyed watching old western movies, He loved singing hymns and was a member of Flow Harris Presbyterian Church. He will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife Norma Gentle, his son, Eric Gentle, a grandson, Christopher Gentle, and all his brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory, his sons Scott Gentle and his wife Anita, Keith Gentle and his wife Greta, one daughter in law, Amy Gentle, five grandchildren, David, Meredith, Matthew, Griffin, and Meggie, eight Great grandchildren, Malachi, Mobius, Marlena, Lilly, Briggs, Ethan, Austin, and Sadie, one Great Great grandchild, Selena.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 19, 2026 at Carolina Memorial Park, with Rev. Christina Conrath officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Flow Harris Presbyterian Church, 308 Winecoff School Rd, Concord, NC 28027.
