Angel Nicole Severt, 29, joined her Lord on Sunday, March 15, 2026. She was born in Cabarrus County on July 4, 1996, to Sherry Twitty Severt and the late Michael Dean Severt.

Angel attended South Rowan High School and graduated from Henderson High School in Salisbury. Angel adored her 3 children and loved them dearly. Her and her mother were the best of friends, anyone who knew Angel knew she was very outgoing and full of life. Although she could be very hard and outspoken, she was also very sweet and kindhearted. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her three children, Emee Grace Severt, Dákari Polk and Sycilynn Polk; her mother, Sherry Severt; stepdad, Marik Soden; her companion, Rod Polk; her brother, Samuel Brian Smith; her sister Megan Severt; her aunt, Denise Hogue; her uncle, Eric Twitty and special friend, Rusty Tarbox. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, other family, and many friends.

Angel was preceded in death by her father, Michael Severt; her maternal grandparents, Darlene Goodman and Harold Twitty and her paternal grandparents, Janelle Rimer and Paul Severt.

A visitation gathering for Angel will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Whitley’s Funeral Home, 1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd., Kannapolis, NC 28083. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
