Amber Lea (Doskey) Hickman

Amber Lea Doskey Hickman, 52, of Concord, NC left this world all too soon on April 28, 2024.

Amber was born in Wisconsin on April 18, 1972. She enjoyed her career as the General Manager of My Eye Dr. in Concord and loved her work family. In her free time, she loved reading books, taking trips to the beach and spending time outside gardening. Her favorite flower was a daisy.  She loved her partner Johnny Allman and looked forward to their weekly date nights going out to eat and to the movies. Also, she loved her family dearly and cherished spending time with them.

Amber is survived by her loving partner of 9 years, Johnny Allman; mother and father, Sheryl Edison and Marvin Edison; five children, Mariah (husband, Andrew) Meisling, Jaclyn (Fiancé, Damian Smoot) Anderson, Patrick Anderson Jr., Elizabeth (fiancé, Aaron Martinez) Anderson, and Logan Hickman; 13 grandchildren, two sisters, Alicia (Darin) Brunson and Amanda Edison, and numerous nieces and nephews who will all miss her dearly.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Amber’s life will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Whitley’s Funeral Home.
