Alex Jaden Rodriguez

Alex Jaden Rodriguez, 17, of Kannapolis, passed away on July 25, 2026. Born on November 29, 2008, in Cabarrus County, Alex was the beloved son of Roberto Rodriguez and Wendy McGuire.

A dedicated student, Alex graduated a year early from Performance Learning Center in 2026. He was pursuing his passion for mechanics at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, aspiring to become a light duty diesel mechanic. Known for his love of working on small engines and his ability to fix anything with a motor, Alex also cherished time spent hunting, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors. His warm nature meant he never met a stranger, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.

He is survived by his father Roberto Rodriguez (Cassandra), mother Wendy McGuire (Scott Linker), brothers Benjamin and Victor Rodriguez, and sister Ellorie Rodriguez. His memory is also cherished by his maternal grandparents, Dene Sr. and Ramell McGuire "Papaw and Mamaw," paternal grandparents Robert and Carmen Rodriguez "Abuelos," as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Harvest Community Church, 4284 Orphanage Rd, Concord, NC 28027. A private service will be conducted at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hands of a Sportsman and the Motorcycle Relief Project.
