Phyllis Ann (Cannon) Byrd

Phyllis Ann Cannon Byrd, 81, of Murrells Inlet, SC passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2109 at Tucker Hospice House. Born on February 20, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Kathleen Adams Cannon.

Prior to retirement, Phyllis last worked as a clerk at Kmart.

Aside from her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Byrd; a son, Jeffrey Chapman; and two brothers, Buddy and Keith Cannon. Surviving are two sisters, Shelvia Phillips of Kannapolis and Donna Beaver and husband J.W. of Landis and a very special great-great niece, Anna Lee.

A memorial service to honor her life will be held at 4:00 o’clock Sunday January 5, 2020 at Rodger’s Park Reformed Church, 704 E. 22nd Street Kannapolis, NC 28083. Pastor Dave Bitler will officiate. Interment, at a later date, will be private.
