Martha Jean (Crisco) Pless

Martha Crisco Pless, 71, of China Grove, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at The Tucker Hospice House.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, September 30, 2019 at Whitley’s Funeral Home with the Rev. R.J. Beaver Hammond officiating, burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Whitley’s Funeral Home.

She was born October 27, 1947 in Cabarrus Co. to the late Robert Crisco and Mazie Beam Crisco.

Martha worked for Cannon Mills for 30 years before her retirement. Martha enjoyed life and being outdoors she enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, fishing, reading romance novels, She enjoyed cooking and baking, (she also enjoyed eating what she made) She had a big heart and everyone knew her as momma she will be missed by all who knew her especially her grand bubbies.

She was preceded in death by her husband Parks M. Pless September 23, 2004 and her brother Ronnie D. Crisco September 18, 2016.

Those left to cherish her memory, two sons Mike W. Pless of China Grove, Arte W. Pless (Lori Upright) of Kannapolis, one daughter Nikki Pless/Goodman of Myrtle Beach, many “adopted” grandchildren and fur babies, three sisters Millie Cook of Concord, Rebecca Kimberlyn of Kannapolis, Barbara Palmer of Concord, and numerous nieces and nephews.
