Obituary: John Michael Mundy, 60, of Rockwell passed away on Tuesday July 9, 2019 at CMC Northeast. Born February 26, 1959 in Lenoir County, NC he was the son of the late James Coleman Mundy, Jr and Eva Allene Swink Mundy. Michael enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, motorcycles, his pets, and working with computers. He very much liked fiddling with and fixing things. Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Steven Mundy. Michael is survived by his wife of 40 years, Susan White Mundy; his children, John Alexander Mundy, Caitlin Melissa Garmon and husband Wesley, Sean Christopher Mundy and wife Britney, and Michael Allen Mundy and wife Brandi; Four grandchildren, Lillie, Olivia and Sadie Garmon and Emma Mundy; Two sisters, Carol Goe and husband Tony, and Linda Mundy White; his beloved cats, Cindy and Ebony; and his dogs, Sam, Pabst, and Demon. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
