Gabrielle Marie (Brixshe) Goins

Kannapolis-

      Gabrielle “Gaby” Goins, 92, peacefully passed away Saturday evening, August 31, 2019, at Curis Concord Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Born December 3, 1926, in Belgium, she was the daughter of the late Henri and Victoria Brixshe.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David “Gene” Goins.

Mrs. Goins retired after more than 40 years of service from Terry Products, where she was a loyal and talented seamstress.  Gaby enjoyed her time at Curis Concord and often crocheted and knitted gifts for other residents.  She also loved playing bingo there.  Gaby loved all of her family and she loved her Chihuahuas.

Family members left with cherished memories include her children, Terry Goins (Sharon) of Kannapolis, Marc Goins (Libby Brown) of Concord, and Donna Talbert (Earl) of Concord; six grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00 pm Thursday, September 5th at Whitley’s Funeral Home.  Funeral services to remember and celebrate the life of Mrs. Goins will begin at 12:00 pm Thursday in the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Gene Beaver.  Mrs. Goins will be laid to rest with her husband in Carolina Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made in Mrs. Goins’ name to the donor’s choice.
