EVAN PARTON Obituary

Obituary: Evan "Biscuit Eater" LaVaughn Parton, 62, of Kannapolis passed away on July 23, 2019. He was born May 24, 1957 in Nashville, TN, a son of the late Lamar and Bettye Parton. Evan was manager of the Deli Dept at Wal-Mart at the Concord Commons store. He also worked at the Dollar Tree store at Afton Ridge for many years. He was an avid motorcycle rider and a photographer. He was a member of the Patriot Guard Riders and was vice president of the NC Chapter of the Tribute to the Troops. Evan volunteered at Richard's Coffee Shop in Mooresville. Evan also pastored two churches in South Carolina in earlier years. He also was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders for over 15 years and earned many different positions within the group. Family and friends will gather at Whitley's Funeral Home on Sunday, July 28, 2019 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM with a service to celebrate Evan's life to start at 6:00 PM in Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Mark McClamrock. Evan is survived by his wife, Cynthia "Cindy" Parton, and two daughters, Kelly Gilliland (Ronnie) and Lisa Kelley (Mike) and one granddaughter Mary Elizabeth Kelley.
