Charlene (Litteral) Lyon

Huntersville- Charlene Litteral Lyon, 72, passed away Saturday morning, August 3, 2019, unexpectedly at her home.

Born March 18,1947, in Johnson County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Harry Fleming Litteral and Edna Mae Conley Litteral.

Charlene grew up in Oil Springs, Kentucky, and had retired from the human resources department of Belk, Inc.  A loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend of many, Charlene’s greatest joy was her family.  She adoringly loved her grandsons, daughters and sons in law.  An unequal cook, she enjoyed providing wonderful meals for her family.  Gone too soon, Charlene will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Lyon leaves cherished memories to her two daughters, Laura Louise Lyon and husband, Richard “Rick” Goodman, and Julia Lyon Brown and husband, Donnie; her grandsons, Jacob Ross Brown and Joshua Taylor Brown; and her sister, Sarah Litteral.

A celebration of life service to remember and celebrate the life of Charlene will begin at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 6, 2019, in the chapel of Whitley’s Funeral Home conducted by Leah Leath.  The family will speak with friends following the service.
