Ruth Hartley Obituary
Ruth Evelyn Hartley, 70, of Kannapolis, passed away at her home Tuesday, March 5, 2024 after a valiant fight against cancer.
She was born May 15, 1953 in Albuquerque, NM to the late David Lee Sutherland and Betty Jane Clark Sutherland.
Ruth was a lifelong human resources professional who earned her Masters degree in Organizational Development from Azusa Pacific University, CA. Ruth specialized in the retail area working as a Regional HR Manager for companies such as Target, Best Buy and most recently Dollar Tree Stores.
She loved to cook and was very good at it, she loved traveling and visiting family and friends whenever possible.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 44 years Robert Hartley, son Corey Cox, daughters Corinne Reed, Jennifer Miranda, twin sister Margie Fox, brother Bill Sutherland, five grandchildren and numerous other family members.
Services will be held at a later date.
