Louise (Hager) Ervin

Louise Hager Ervin passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on February 24, 2024.

She was born on August 25, 1919 to Grace Donaldson Hager and Jackson B. Hager in Troutman, N.C. 

She was married to Charles Anderson Ervin and lived most of her life in Kannapolis, N.C.  She was predeceased by her husband and a son, Jerry Ervin; grandson, Vience Ervin; son in law, William Harold Nelms; 2 brothers and 3 sisters.  Family members include her daughter, Faye Nelms Rogoff (Fred); 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Cubitt (Jamie), Andy Nelms (Mary Margaret) and Chris Ervin; and 3 great grandchildren, Maggie Cubitt, Will Cubitt and Fisher Nelms. 

Louise lived 104 years and was a lovely lady of strength and dignity.  She lived every day as God would have her to and was loved by all who knew her.  She treasured her family and was very active in her church, North Kannapolis Methodist Church and loved visiting the homebound and holding many offices on Counsel prior to moving to Greenville, SC in 2011 to be near her daughter. 

There will be a graveside service held on March 6 at 1:00 pm, at Rocky Mount Church Cemetery, 1739 Perth Rd., Mooresville, NC.
