Obituary:
Roger Dean Thomason, 69, of Landis went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Novant Rowan Regional Medical Center following a period of declining health.
Roger was born October 11, 1949 in Cabarrus County, NC, a son of the late Theodore Roosevelt Thomason and the late Mary Lena Starnes Thomason.
Roger was employed by Cannon Mills, Plt. #1 spinning room retiring due to disability following thirty years of service. He was an active member of First Assembly of God in Landis as long as his health permitted.
Family members of Mr. Thomason include his sister, Carolyn Thomason of Linwood, and a brother, Ralph Thomason and wife Sandra of Kannapolis.
Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 7, 2019 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Bill Coughlin. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 12:30 P.M.-2:00 P.M. Monday prior to the service. At other times the family will be at their respective residences.
