Obituary:
Robert Larry Rhoten, 46, of Landis went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at CHC-Northeast Medical Center following a period of declining health.

Robert was born January 5, 1972 in Gaston County, NC a son of Tommy Thadis Rhoten and Barbara Jean West Rhoten of Landis.

Robert had been employed as a cook in his earlier years until his declining health caused his retirement.

He was a member of New Covenant Baptist Church in Kannapolis. He enjoyed the outdoors, going out to eat, and shopping; especially for shoes.

Robert also enjoyed playing with his two dogs, Macie and Roscoe.

In addition to his parents his is survived by two daughters, Lauren Rackley and Rebecca Rhoten both of Landis and three grandchildren; Avalee Rackley, Nova Harrington and Charlotte Rhoden.

Two brothers David Rhoten and Tommy T. Rhoten and wife Tamara also survive along with three nephews.

A Service to Celebrate Robert’s life will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday, September 14, 2018 at New Covenant Baptist Church, 1400 Stone Avenue, Kannapolis, NC 28083.,conducted by Rev. Roger Steadman.
