Mary was born and raised in Kannapolis, NC. She was a loving mother and grandmother and is known by many as a “second” mother. Mary was very giving and first and foremost always put others first. She has been a caregiver for many family members and friends over the years. Mary worked in Cannon Mills for thirty years in plant #6 sheet department. She was an avid gardener and loved to sit on the porch swing and watch “her birds”. Until her declining health, Mary was an active member of North Kannapolis United Methodist Church, especially the prayer group.

A celebration of life will be held at North Kannapolis United Methodist Church at 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 17, 2018, officiated by Ron Hartman. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 pm prior to the service.

"Rejoice to know Mary is with God now. Her maker and creator. No more pain, or sorrow for her. I know that does not make it any easier to accept her death but time does help to heal. You never ever forget and there will be special times you will miss her so much. She was a sweet lady and heaven rejoices in her coming home. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Much love!"
