Obituary:
Dustin Todd Mullis, 28, of China Grove passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 5, 2017 at CMC-NE from complications following a heart attack.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, January 13 at River of Life Church in Kannapolis with “Preacher” Brian Rabon officiating. His family will receive friends at the church 1 hour prior to the memorial service, from 3:00 to 4:00 PM.

Dustin was born June 29, 1989 in Cabarrus Co., the son of Todd and Lori Jenkins Mullis. He was a lifelong area resident and graduate of S. Rowan High School, Class of 2007. Dustin was a member of River of Life Church, where he enjoyed playing softball with his church brothers. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and always making others laugh. Dustin was a loving and devoted father to his children. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Grady Cole Mullis.

In addition to his parents, Dustin is survived by his children; Dalton, Jude and Alaina Mullis, all of the family home, his sister, Brandy Michelle Allen (Sean) of Salisbury, his nephew, Landon Allen; his maternal grandparents, Don and Bonnie Jenkins of Kannapolis; his paternal grandmother, Lucille Baity of Salisbury and his paternal step-grandmother, Alda Mullis of Kannapolis as well as many other loving relatives.
